Your state probably has a law that won't let you drive for a year if you have a seizure. That's to protect the other drivers......

Do you not have a job? You could get one and make friends there. Friends don't find you--you have to take the initiate and go find them and don't use epilepsy as a crutch and a reason for being alone.......

I am sorry that you are afflicted with this. I know two people that have this as well, so I am sympathetic to your plight. I however do not think that you should get your license. That one time you have a seizure in 10, 20, or more years could be when you are driving and you could be on the road with me and my children and cause an accident that kills one or all of us. I am sorry, but you are, in your condition a hazard behind the wheel. You cannot predict, on or off the medicine when and if a seizure will come, that is the dangerous part. I am not sure where you can find resources in your neighborhood, but you can start at your church, or community center, or hospital. Please for the sake of others on the road, do not put us in danger by getting your license.

oh you poor thing,..
I feel for you. Just keep trying to find out how to get that surgical procedure that basically cures epilepsy.

The New York University Comprehensive Epilepsy Center is currently the largest epilepsy program in the Eastern United States.

step up, step out, and be urself. thats how you make friends. And the license issue, I dont know much about that. Maybe you could try to go to the DMV and get a restricted license maybe with the restriction that you have to drive with someone at all times...I dont know much about ur disease and what guidelines go with getting a license...u may not be able to. If thats the case, u will have to work around it.
