It really freaks me out! Sometimes they are people I have known sometimes they are not. But the ways that they come to me are unbelievebly scary! They are so much like horror movies! Dead people are one of my biggest fears, so this could have some influence. But I don't think about them 24/7, so I don't know why this keeps happening! Any Ideas as to why?

You answered your own question - it is one of your biggest fears. Possibly if you talk to someone about your fears it may help. If the people you have known were not scary to you in real life, there is certainly no reason for them to be scary to you in death.

Here are a few links about the meaning of dreams that may also be helpful.

Dreams are our mind's way of dealing with our fears, so if dead people are one of your biggest fears that's why you're dreaming about them.

It is probably because you don't allow yourself to just work out some reasonable perspective on dead people that your subconscious is bringing the issue up in dreams.

When it comes to people you know you may have unresolved issues about them (either when they were living or because they died), and even if people in your dreams are people you don't know they could represent people you know or other things in life.

First, don't watch horror movies any more if you watch them. They aren't helping. They could be bringing up thoughts of people/things in your past and fueling the dreams.

Second, why not allow yourself to really think about death, the people you know who have died, and any associated issues until you come around to feeling that death is natural and dead people are not scary at all.

Also, you may want to ask yourself if you are doing something in your life that - underneath it all - is making you think you are risking your life in some way.

Whenever I've had dreams about dead people I've known they are always either their old selves or else sort of themselves but a little aloof. I assume that the "aloof" represents the fact that they are somewhere I don't know about, and they know something I don't yet know; so they're different from me. Try to figure out why you think the people who show up in your dreams are scary rather than their old selves only maybe a little odd or different.

Ask yourself if you believe a little too much in ghosts and the like, and whether the people who have died would really haunt you if they could.

If you've ever had someone very close die, and if you've been there to see that the life has left them, I would think you would see how very helpless but peaceful they seem. Think about whether it would make any sense for someone who had been here and nice, and who became "helpless and peaceful" by dying, would then have their soul turn horrible and monster-like (if souls do anything at all after someone dies).

Maybe you're just at a stage in your life where you've become really aware that death happens to everyone. Maybe your mind is just dealing with that idea through your dreams, and maybe you will find a way to reach a certain type of peace with the idea of death - and then the dreams will stop. (Are you in your twenties? The twenties, or maybe late teens, is when people tend to be thinking about the larger issues of this life and trying to put the pieces in place in their mind.)

I would look at these dead people in your dreams less as scary and more as a representation of haunting.

It is not the ghosts that are haunting you, but something [within yourself] that is unresolved. Something that you have not addressed that may be important to you.

For instance, maybe losing a job was highly influential and hurtful and you never addressed your feelings about it. You just moved on. Emotions don't go away.

Dead

To see the dead in your dream, forewarns that you are being influenced by negative people and are hanging around the wrong crowd. You may suffer material loss. This dream may also be a way for you to resolve your feelings with those who have passed on.

If you dream of a person who has died a long time ago, then it suggests that a current situation or relationship in you life resembles the quality of that deceased person. The dream may depict how you need to let this situation or relationship die and end it.

To see and talk with your dead parents in your dreams, represents your fears of losing them or your way of coping with the loss. You may want that last opportunity to say your final good-byes to them.

To see your dead sibling, relative, or friend alive in your dream, indicates that you miss them and are trying to relive your old experiences you had with them. In trying to keep up with the pace of your daily waking life, you dreams may serve as your only outlet in coping and coming to terms with the loss of a loved one.

Die

To dream that you die in your dream, symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or in your life. Although such a dreams may bring about feelings of fear and anxiety, it is no cause for alarm and is often considered a positive symbol. Dreams of experiencing your own death usually means that big changes are ahead for you. You are moving on to new beginnings and leaving the past behind. These changes does not necessarily imply a negative turn of events. Metaphorically, dying can be seen as an end or a termination to your old ways and habits. So, dying does not always mean a physical death, but an ending of something.

On a negative note, to dream that you die may represent involvement in deeply painful relationships or unhealthy, destructive behaviors. You may feeling depressed or feel strangled by a situation or person in your waking life. Perhaps your mind is preoccupied with someone who is terminally ill or dying. Alternatively, you may be trying to get out of some obligation, responsibility or other situation.

To see someone dying in your dream, signifies that your feelings for that person are dead or that a significant change/loss is occurring in your relationship with that person. Alternatively, you may want to repress that aspect of yourself that is represented by the dying person.

Hope I helped!

become stronger in the paranormal sense so that they cant just haunt you anymore, so they merely just exist and dont bother you. kind of like ignoring someone who yells at you 24/7 and never does anything else. ya know?

well, i have a phobia of the deceased myself. i have never bveen to a funeral and i have only known one person that has passsed but it scares me to think of peoplle who,ve died. maybe it comes from an experience from someone you've known who've passed or it comes from not being familiar with it. as long as its not cusing you and serious problems then your fine.

Could mean that you can no longer afford to ignore the possibility of your own death, according to my dream book.
