Where is the shift lock override on a 1992 Mazda 323?

I can't shift out of park. There is a little black switch on the upper-right corner of the gear shift that I thought was the override, but this doesn't seem to have any effect--it pulls out instead of moving down. Any help would be appreciated!

Thats it... Or you have to remove cover to get to it.

Or just hook up a better battery and set on the Brake pedal and will release. Unless you used the power wire for your stereo AMP then put it back...
