Actually, it may have originated in Spain..

Chachi is used by the youth in Madrid, it means that something is very good or awesome...

Example:
The movie I saw last weekend was chachi.

Then again, in Korean it means the male reproductive organ.

Chachi is not a Mexican word. I've never heard of it before.

I'm not to sure about South America but in Spain chachi is a snobby-spoiled girly kind of way of saying cool........but Spanish in Spain and south America sometimes has nothing to do with each other (bollo in Spain is a pastel and in South America especially Venezuela its a women's private part) but that in spain its a stupid way of saying cool i'm 100% sure since i've been in spain many many times..

I just had to add that there is NO such language as "Mexican". IT IS CALLED SPANISH. Not "Mexican"
