I see fozzie did not read the link.

I, like many have known about this for years. I think some of us are just tired of seeing the mindless banter of ignorant liberals accusing Bush of being influenced by halliburton.

I guess some of you can't comprehend the irony of my question.

So the defense of the republicans is to say 2 wrongs make a right? I think what leaves many to be suspicious of HAL is that their stock has returned 450% since Jan 2002 (the dow jones has an overall of about 25% in the same time period) and that Cheney used to be the head of the company. I guarantee that if Clinton was involved with them in the 80's that would have some way made it into the Whitewater investigation. But back to my original point, 2 wrongs don't make a right. I learned that when I was 5. How about both parties practice some bipartisanship and investigate them.

The White House has continually shown favoritism to Haliburton, but on the other hand, they are one of only a few contractors large enough to handle the situation. It's a double edge knife.

Clinton also gave no-bid contracts to Haliburton. What's the connection there?

Show me a career politician who hasn't taken money improperly, or has not given favor to friends.

Fozzie is right.
