Theres a real no brainer!! Simon and company show a distinct disdain for anything truly rock-n-roll. As such anyone with a whiskey, barroom type of voice, i.e. Steven Tyler, Bob Seger, Meatloaf, etc. would have been quickly voted off, if they even made it through auditions.
