better than divorce? Yes for awhile. Just to make sure its the right decision. In alot of states now, you must be legally separated for a year before you can even file for divorce.

Better solution than what?
Sometimes you need space to clear your head and determine what you want. Just be faithful and let them know you are faithful and use the time to deal with the issues. So yes, most times it is a better solution opposed to ending a marriage without really and honestly evaluating the situation and your feelings.

Better than what? Seperation can sometimes awaken the once burning flame or perhaps enlighten you to a new life or partner. As for a trial seperation, yes it's better to try the "absence makes the heart grow fonder" theory and come to a conclusion rather than divorce and end up regretting the commitment of such. But it all depends on the circumstances to your question.

Separation is not a solution, its a step.
Its a step toward independence and clearing one's head.
You can be independent and still be married. Its when you can't function without your spouse is when problems arise.
