Either quarantine or delete the files. (Your virus program should offer these functions)

Didn't your anti virus(av) software give you an option to delete those files? Or inoculate them?

No point taking any other option right?

Also, make a note of the files and see whether they still persist the next time you do a virus scan. If it does, you might have to change your av software.

Make sure you update your av regularly and if it has an option to send a report on your infected files, do it.

Cheers.

First, know the name of the infected files. They should be something.exe. Next, press ctrl alt and delete simultaneously. Click on the processes tab. Locate the names of your infected files. Click on them to highlight. Then click on "end processes"

If this doesnt work, use your virus software to QUARANTINE FIRST. After a few days, if the problem persists, delete.

One option should be to quarantine them. Do that immediately. That will move them to a different directory. If after a week or so you know that you don't need to have them cleaned a different way (You'll have strange errors with the files missing from their normal location), delete the quarantined files.

1) Use the antivirus program to fix the problem.
2) Scan all disk drives for more signs of a virus.
