University of Madison...good college?

Would like to know if it is a good college and approximate cost of tuition per year

It's a good college - a HUGE party school and lots of drunks, but the school itself is pretty good!

There are lots of variables that go into cost of school there:

WI resident, living in the dorms: $10,000 - $12,000/year
WI resident, commuting or living elsewhere: $7,000 - $8,000/year

Out-of-state resident, living in the dorms: $13,000 - $15,000/year

The University of Wisconsin is an excellent school, but it is extremely large. It is best for students who are academically well-prepared, and those who are self-motivated. Look into the honors college program there if you want to have a more personal experience. The city of Madison is a great place to go to school, offering something for everyone.

Its an excellent college and its very hard to get into unless you have great grades and did very well on the ACT and SAT exams. If you are a WI resident it is cheaper than if you are from out of state. Your tuition will also be determined on if you are staying on campus or off. Contact the college for that information.
