I think you need to research both of those concepts (Active Directory and NT) before you compare an apple to a mountain goat.

You are obviously dazed and confused, though probably more confused.

If you're trying to compare Windows NT to later OS's (instead of your strange question), then it's the same as always when comparing OS's. A properly-patched OS is as secure as you make it.

The primary reason that AD is more secure than the old NT domains is because AD uses Kerboros authentication.

Kerboros authentication does not send password hashes across the LAN where they could be hacked. NT did send the password hash across the LAN so anyone who was able to shiff packets off the LAN could often hack the password from the hash.
