there are two thing you can do. 1. try and clean your disk. delete all garbage. click start - accessories - system tool then click clean disk - click yes when prompted .. when finished.. repeat from start again ..... then instead of clean disk.. this click defragmentation make sure you click yes until you see it actually defragging.. you will see lines of diff. colors.. it will take hrs or so.. restart after done.. if this wont help.. go to compusa or computer stores.. buy memory chip and ask help how to insert it inside your computer board.. if u have laptop better ask help of a technician.

For best performance, set the initial size to not less than the recommended size under Total paging file size for all drives. The recommended size is equivalent to 1.5 times the amount of RAM on your system. Although you might increase its size if you routinely use programs that require a lot of memory or you could install more RAM and adjust the size.
To change virtual memory settings (To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group)
My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Performance - Settings > Advanced > Virtual Memory - Change.
Recomendations for better perfomance:
• Put the Memory to 1.5x the amount of RAM in your system for the min. and max. So if you have 1GB of RAM then put 1536MB
• Also if you have two or more hard drives. Put the virtual memory on the drive oppositte your operating system o drive c:
• Remember virtual memory uses space on your disk, so you need to have enough space for it.

Right click "My Computer" and click on properties. Click on the advanced tab. Click on the Performance tab. Click once again on the advanced tab. This gets you to where you can adjust the virtual memory size.

You can also get away from this by adding more physical memory to your system. This will add speed but will cost money.

That grow to be abode windows transferring the present section out of memory and into the replace document, then loading the subsequent section. That replace document is called digital memory. The more suitable belongings you've open, the more suitable the replace archives has to grow to be. abode windows places a restricted (depending on the loose area on your dirve) on how huge the replace document can grow to be. once you should exceed that reduce, you receives a caution that that's low on digital memory. abode windows will advance the replace document and proceed operating. it truly is in trouble-free words caution you that that's increasing the replace document length. Its length will be reset on the subsequent reboot. even rather document will grow to be that giant, it is going to sluggish the pc - takes longer to load and promote off issues into memory - and advance the chance of crashing. it truly is why it warns you. What are you able to do? First, advance the quantity of tangible RAM memory in the pc. this can cut back the quantity of stuff that should be moved to vritual memory. 2d, cut back the style of classes you've operating in the heritage. click the start Button, click Run and style in: msconfig bypass to the startup tab of the window that a lot you'll see each and each of the classes it truly is being "pre-loaded" on your pc. Uncheck any and all that you do not favor to load and startup (you'll nevertheless be able to run the using their accepted icons, they only gained't pre-load on startup). you are able to recheck any in case you locate you want them. ultimately, examine how a lot loose puzzling rigidity area you've. even if that's lower than 10% of your rigidity, which will reason digital memory blunders because abode windows can no longer advance the replace document - no more suitable puzzling rigidity area.

Do you have enough physical RAM? Did it start after you installed any new software(they might be causing a memory leak).

I can explain everything but I think you'd might find this link more useful as it has some screenshots which might help you better:
