I'm planning on getting a new phone this weekend and I'm with Sprint (and I have NO plans to change providers). I'm really interested in getting a PDA phone and I've been looking at the Treo 700p and the PPC-6700. I've been hearing rumors of a PPC-6800 coming out soon, so maybe I should wait for that? Or would the 700p be my best bet (I've read better reviews on it than on the 700wx).

I'm looking for a phone that can access some email and pictures and I want to be able to get a finance program (like a checkbook) for it. Music would be nice, but is not extremely important.

I'm looking for personal opinions on these devices, not some website review. I want to hear what you think of these phones and what your experiences with them have been. If you know of a better device coming out soon, I'd love to hear about it as well.

Thank you guys for your help!

I also wanted to add, that I don't really want a Blackberry because I can't really afford the data plan it uses.

I WORK FOR ALLTEL WIRELESS....I CHANGE SMART PHONES FREQUENTLY AND DO NOT...I REPEAT DO NOT CHOOSE THE PPC6700 OVER THE TREO. I ASSURE YOU WITH PALM THEY ARE MUCH MORE RELIABLE.

I had a 6700 for 7 months until recently switching to the Palm Treo 700w(I prefer windows operating system).
So you know the company that makes the PPC6700 is UT-STARCOM...which is actually Audiovox. Most of their products have some major software issues and from experience pick the palm. Trust me. You will not be disapointed.
