The Germans invented cars, and a lot of cures come from other countries than the US, the same is true for technologies.

Muslim countries preserved the science of the Greeks and Romans when Europe was under the control of the Church, they had the most advanced medicine and mathematics, they invented distilling (alcohol, like alchemy which used to mean chemistry are both Arab words, so is algebra) and it took until the 19th century for Europe to catch up.

The US-American time came only after the second world war, with the influx of scientists from Europe, and it will wane pretty soon, since US-Americans refuse to believe in alternative energy and the need for new technologies in replacing oil and fossil fuels.

Arabs invented the modern number system. They also contributed immensely to tue fundamentals of astronomy. Granted, that was 1000 years ago, give or take a millennium. But that was the basis for celestial navigation. Without that, you'd probably be living in Europe now, bragging about how great it is to be french or belgian or something.
