why is it that girls/women usually go to the restroom in groups?

men go one at a time and spend only enough time to get the job done
women seem to spend all day in the restroom. why is that

is there a couch or something in there. or a hidden button that they push and go into another land?

as a guy, I don't know for a fact, but I always suspect that it is to talk about things (mainly the guys they are with) that they don't want the guys to know....

It's a girl thing. Sometimes we need each other to hold the door closed b-cuz they don't aways lock, might need some tissue from the next stall or napkins from the sink. We go to talk about...wouldn't you like to know. (cant tell all the secrets). If we are out in a club we go in groups to hold each other drinks. There are so many reasons all i can say is put on a dress and find out. ;)

well, c its kinda simple their girls!!! what do u expect? i mean they need help in case they get lost on the way to the bathroom or on the way back....and then when they go pee they have to take off the whole bottom part of their outfit, which means after they finish they have to put it back on and well you know how girls r about getting ready...they take forever!!! and they take the friends to get a second opinion on how they look....oh and also they need their friends to make noise by talking loudly so incase the girl inside taking a **** farts then you cant really hear it....

Many reasons. It could be to apply make-up, talk about things such as the way they look and about the guys, go themselves, and sometimes for the sheer 'sisterhood'of going to the toilet and chatting about things away from the guys, often about the guys!

we do it for alot of dif reasons. we talk about stuff in the bathroom that we dont want guys to know
we feel more secure when there is another person in the bathroom (especially if it is a public area)
we want someone else oppinion on how we look (or to check if we still look good)

Well my boy it has to do with the birds and bees....if you know half of dat story the rest is easy.....we have outers.....open da zip....crash bam job done......for the other 'activity' use ur imagination....then we wash up we are out......when women go to da wash room....they do da need full then they reach behind their flush lever and press a button and get warped out to world filled with mascara, lip stick etc....ware they excahnge tips on how to apply these chemical bio hazards all over their face....just to please a guy....so that he can droll all over them so that they can take da men out to drain their cash reserves b4 they look for another host.....erhm i mean boy friend etc.......ok that was bull-****.....:-P they warp these men to their wash room world and rip their hearts out to excahnge for watever they need......:-P
