can someone explain to me why aren't they good this year even when the have rasheed,rip, bilupps, prince, murriey, nazr,

i've been also wondering about this and i didn't found any good answer. but i belive in them and i'm sure they will come to the playoff.

I think we don't see any clarity whose the first scoring option on the piston offensive sets this year.

It used to be Rip hamilton running around screen and rolls without the ball with Rasheed Wallace. When Rip gets open he'd knock down them shots, when the second defender comes to help; Rip just usually pass the ball either to Rasheed or Ben for an easy deuce.
The second offensive set was Chauncey posting up, while Rasheed spotting up in 3-point line.
The Third one was Tayshaun posting up while Chauncey and Rasheed spotting up in 3-point line.

Besides Rasheed's health concern, I think they rarely do these plays anymore.

First of all right now Billups is injured, and Nazr is half as good as Big Ben. But I wouldnt worry they have a pretty good record and they will perform come playoff time.
