A good source of information would be the Fish and Wildlife Department or the Conservation Dept.,I'll bet there is a government website.

Here is a list of the fishable species in alberta currently,
Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Bull Trout - all caught must be released, Mountain Whitefish, Brook Trout.
