I am watching Jersey Girl and Jennifer Lopez died while delivering a baby, because she pushed too hard and got an aneurysm. Is that possible to happen today?

Yes that can happen, but the vascular abnormality is present prior to giving birth and the stress and pressures of pregnancy and childbirth can cause the weakened blood vessel(s) to rupture. Sometimes it will only be a small leak and then surgery can be done to correct it. It isn't something that occurs all the time though, so don't worry.

People get aneurysms from getting angry or just walking down the street, so I would only conclude that it would be possible to get one from the the stress and strain of child birth. Scary, isn't it.

Yes. A couple of years ago (little girl is 6 now) this happened to one of our church members. Needless to say: it came as a huge shock to all who knew her. I don't think it is that common though... But I'm not up to date with statistics regarding aneurysms & labour.

I watched the movie last night and was wondering the same thing. I can't answer but I'll also be waiting to see what replies you get.
