Weak men are very intimidated by successful, educated and beautiful women. God forbid if she's materialistic on top of that! Weak men prefer uneducated, submissive, plain looking women (for their basic sex needs) that stays at home in order for them to feel superior. They have nothing to offer so they look for their victims in mail order catalogs thus becoming Knights in Shining Armour. A successful educated man from a good family wants a woman with their same standards. An equal or even better.

Those that get intimidated (not all men do) are insecure or feel that the success of the woman somehow threatens them. As for looks, as the song goes (I do not agree, but some feel this way): "If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, make an ugly woman your wife.."

I don't think that they prefer to date an insecure ugly woman instead. I think that it is because maybe you have a better job than he does or it can also be the money issue. You might make just enough money as he does or you make more than he does. It's just a man thing. The men try to show that they are always more than a simple women and don't want to feel less than yourself.

Not ALL men like anything
Some men like red heads/blondes/brunettes/bald women/older women/other men.
Some men like to be Alpha male.
Some men like to be dominated.
Some men like to be equals.
I personally prefer people I can have a hour long conversation with about life.
As for what you consider successful may not be what I consider successful.
As for beauty, you might have a really short sighted, self centered, selfish personality. With most men beauty will get you to the door, but your personality with get the ring.

They don't. They just don't like ones that think they're better than you. It's more about the attitude than the status. Do you like men who talk down to you?
You're going to have to find a guy who is busy with his life too, or if it's control, then you're going to have to find a more feminine man. If it's the busy thing, well women have the same issue with men that aren't there(doesn't show being marriage material)... but women usually cheat on the men when they do this, but will still marry him.

If they were intimidated by a beautiful, successful woman, then they wouldn't have to courage to ask them out to even start dating.

I do not think most of us do. Maybe you are just putting the best possible light on it from your point of view. Maybe the reason you relationships are not working out is because the cost of dating you are not equal to the benefits of dating you. If your self image is what it appears and reality does not prove that out then you could be demanding more maintenance than you can expect.

i find some do prefer women who are needy and unstable. these men feel the need to save them from themselves. it makes the man useful; which makes those men, in my opinion, not secure with themselves.
