Pelosi never missed a meal in her life, resulting in the inability to relate to those who have. When a person says one thing and does another, it's hypocritical. (I like tuna)

Obviously because it would mean hurting a corporation in her constituency. This shouldn't surprise anyone. The Democrats don't do anything if it won't personally benefit them or their party. They promote raising the minimum wage because it sounds good and plays well for campaigns, not because there's a need to raise it. So of course they can justify exempting a major business that they represent... For all the Democrats' empty promises and hypocrisy, the real question should be, "Will Americans realize their mistake and correct it in 2008?"

EDIT: The corporate headquarters for the parent company are in San Francisco, not the actual plant. The proposed legislation doesn't affect any wage earners in San Francisco at all. The minimum wage of California is already $7.50 and set to rise to $8 in 2008. So obviously raising the federal to $7.25 has no effect...

I guess that ranks right up there with the "first 100 hours" propaganda.

Any guess how many hours the Democrats have worked out of the first 100?

This applied to American Samoa, which is clearly NOT in Pelosi's district, but I agree that you DO have a point.

Nancy is the epitome of hypocrisy.

Two months ago she talked about how we need to increase our troop presence in Iraq.

Two weeks ago she started screaming about how more troops is simply unacceptable.
