Why do they say first love is never fulfilled?

It is my opion that first love is never fullfiled because we never know it's our first love until we no longer are with our first love - "you don't know what you've got till it's gone"

As soon as it's gone we face the realisation and the penny drops- by which time it's too late.

You may also need a comparison to say whether it is trully love or not!

Never fulfillness is the best feature of the first love. Why? Usually, the first love appears when you are very young, you do not know yourself, not talking about others. People changes a lot. Expecially, very young ones - later the person of your first love can change some much, you also, and it useally concludes with not liking or ignoring the person of your first love.

Great question! Maybe if I share my experience I can shed some insight with my situation.
I married and had children very young. 20 years later and I am not the same person I was back then. The differences now leave me feeling un-fulfilled and lonely in my marriage because there i such a large compatibility issue. I tell my children to REALLY get to know themselves and mature first before committing to a long term relationship. I think we all have to learn from our experiences.
My 19 son wants to marry his "soul-mate" after they finish collage, lol

i guess that's because, it's our first steps in learning about male-female relationships.

First love is almost always the sweetest.
But, it is NOT realistical.
Each party actually closes one eye to what the other does/ has.
It is painful trying to hang on and see how long the relationship can drag for and sustain.

It becomes fulfilled only when you learnt from it.
