Disneyworld = Florida
Disneyland = California
Florida also has MGM, Epcot and Animal Kingdom parks
California has California Adventure park

There are several factors about both that make them different. Disneyland is in California and Disneyworld is in Florida. Disney world is much bigger too with more parks and entertainment. They also have a lot of land in Disney World not used set aside for future projects.

Disneyland in California is much smaller than Disney World in Florida. Disneyland was created first by Walt in 1955. He wanted a place where families could play together. In 1971, Disney World in Florida opened, not too long after Walt's passing. The Walt Disney World Resort is twice the size of the island of Manhattan. The entire Disneyland Resort can fit inside the Magic Kingdom parking in Florida alone!

Disneyland has the Magic Kingdom, California Adventure, various hotels and Downtown Disney.
Disney World has Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, MGM Studios and Downtown Disney, as well as various water parks, golf courses and hotels.
Disneyland can be done in 2-3 days. Disney World is more like a week-long ordeal.
Disneyland has the "original" factor while Disney World has the "bigger than life" factor.

Disneyworld is in FL and Disneyland are in CA, Paris, and other places.
But Disney World is bigger and has more rides and stuff.
But Disney Land is smaller and doesnt have many attractions. But both are great to visit. I've been to both and they are great fun!
