you are absolutely right, i'd like to see that too, but you answered your own question. Bikinis beat out parkas any day of the week. Sad but true. Imagine a naked Richard Hatch in Siberia? Talk about shrinkage.

In the 16th or 17th century a dutch ship called the Batavia sunk off the coast of Australia. The only food and water was what the salvaged from the boat before it was completely smashed on the reef. The captain took the only life boat on a dangerous voyage up the coast to Indonesia leaving in charge a man who was a basically a homicidal maniac. They are still finding bits of bone from his victims. The only resistance came from a low ranking soldier (corporal or Dutch equivalent I think) who with the rest of the 'army' where exiled to small featureless island. They were sent there to starve to death. They didn't.
SURVIVOR: WEIBBER HAYES ISLAND.
Lets get serious with this people!

Yeah...I've thought of that too, but as you may have noticed, Survivor is more a game about strategy and luck (right place, right time, right personality, right alliances, ability to either win challenges or make friends with those who do) rather than actually surviving in the wilderness.

Would be interesting -- I have thought that a lot. BUT I think the bikini clad woman and the shirtless men are for the audience benefit.

Very easy, Sex / hot bodies = > ratings. Also, the discomfort for producers and crew to work in such harsh conditions. Remember, this is a CBS show, not a National Geographic or Discovery Channel one.

good idea, but they need the appeal of the nice looking ladies to help with the popularity.....sorry but it's true.
if you really like that kind of stuff you, like me, you should watch the survival shows on Discovery Channel....less fake drama and gossip, it's more real and filled with good helpful information, very exciting too!
but I still do watch Survivor, but don't think they could take people to a place where it would be so easy to die. the tribal council would be easier though;)
