I recently bought a PS3 and I wanted to know if it is wireless enabled. i have a wireless router installed on my PC and i was wondering if the PS3 will automatically pick up my wireless signal or if i hae to buy something else.

i have the 60GB hard drive and i know in the manual it says you need an access point. i am not sure if this access point comes with the system though or if i have to buy it.

No, you have to get a router. The 60gig version is wi-fi capable. What I hate about the system is that even the $600 version doesn't come with the proper hi-def cables (HDMI) to hook up to your TV. The stupid cable alone costs $100.

If you have the 60GB version then you have wireless. The PS3 should be able to pickup your wireless router. The access point is the wireless router. The manual will tell you how to get the router and PS3 to connect.

yes, if you have a wireless router like you mentioned, the unit will pick up the signal automatically.
