I don't think that you will definitely get sea sick on a cruise. For example I don't get motion sickness in cars or airplanes, but I can not step foot on a boat without getting sick. It is different sensations on a boat then in a car. Bring some Dramamine though just in case!

Be prepared and get some meds before you go on a cruise. I usually don't get motion sick and we went on a 7 day Carnival cruise ship. I was sick like a dog for 2 days because the captain did not put on that so called 'stabilizer' during a storm (=big waves) They gave me some pills (I forget the name) but they made me also so sleepy. It was not so pleasant.
Somebody also said to keep the stomach full with food and that would help...but once you are nauseous you can't eat...so take some pills before it's getting uncomfortable for you.

That depends on where you are going. I went on a cruise and didn't feel any motion until we went into New Orleans. That was a little freaky due to the rocking up the mississippi river. Other than that, it's like a huge city on water. If you are still concerned, there is a medicine your doctor can prescribe you. I hope you will go on a cruise, it was the best time I have ever had. Thank you and good luck.

There is a good chance that you will... I know someone else that went on a 24 hour cruise, and could feel the motion even on the dock. She was sick the entire time.

Go to the drugstore and buy some Bonine and Dramamine over the counter. The day before you depart take a Bonine. Take another Bonine an hour before you depart. Take a Dramamine in the evening to help you sleep & reinforce the Bonine. Take a Bonine when you wake up. The Bonine won't make you drowsy & works like a charm. On a short, but very choppy, trip to the Great Barrier Reef I was the only one not feeding the fishes.

Most cruise ships are large enough that there's not a whole lot of sense of motion - especially given their (comparatively) low speeds.

The only way to be certain, of course, is to try it. I'd recommend having some anti-motion-sickness medication with you. Another option is to have things like ginger ale and ginger snaps - they'll help calm your stomach and prevent you from getting sea-sick.

probably not on a big cruise ship. you wont even feel it move, if you look over the side at sea, the sensation of movement wont seem bad either because there's nothing to take refrence from, unless theres another ship close by, or your near land.
