You usally need an agent who would negotiate on your behalf with the big production companies. There is way too much to explain on this forum so a book I would like to recommend is 'Opening the Doors to Hollywood: How to Sell Your Idea, Story, Screenplay, Manuscript' by Carlos De Abreu. Good luck!

I think before you start writing a movie, you need to learn the difference between "release" and "realize". They mean two different things.

Then, what you can do (after you've written it, and maybe some other things) is you can get yourself an agent/manager. They should have connections to get that movie/whatever else you've written to the right people so it can be made.

Just be mindful that they may reject your idea, yet 14 months later, you'll see a movie distributed by Warner Brothers that looks eerily similar to an idea you once had.

Thousands of people try every year and not a handful succeed. Have you thought of trying to raise the money to make an independent film? Or doing a short film for your local public television station using money from grants and other such funding?

Because it's very, very difficult to write a script that you can sell in Hollywood and it might be better to try starting small.
