No "they not half-jackets gurl", they are actually called cropped jackets, or sweaters (depending on the material). Similar to cropped pants.
You can get them almost anywhere, and are very cute to wear over a strapless dress or top, or even one with skiny straps. I wear them all the time since I work in an office where revealing tops aren't appropriate. It's also nice to re-use some of the clothes you have for summer by pairing them up with a cropped jacket.

I would say they are stupid. They make no sense. I mean how the heck are you gonna buy a "jacket" that doesn't even cover anything? And why do big girls always wear them and let their rolls hang out??
