Hi,

Although there are many overall sizes for tennis courts, the actual " play area" does not vary.

The dimensions for the play area are taken to the outsides of the 50mm wide lines: 23.77 meters by 10.97 meters

Adding your 6 meters and 3 meters:
29.77 meters by 13.97 meters.

Area in Square Meters: 415.8869

half the fun of a word problem is getting it into the numbers so let's have fun ok - our given(s) L = W + 12.8 and L times W = 262 so, since we know what the L variable is worth - lets substitute into the second equation L x W = 262 (w + 12.8)(W) = 262 W^2 + 12.8W - 262 = 0 looks like a quadratic equation from here - - - tag - you go from here all the best
