teddy put a hit out on him to keep his mouth shut, when it was going to come out that the entire kennedy family was tied to the mob.
Additional comment: I don't think my answer above is entirely out of the question. But I wish I'd thought of the answer that chuckles gave..

The Bay of Pigs pushed us to the brink and was a turning point for the Kennedys -- Jack and Bobbie.
My guess is that both emerged from the Bay of Pigs incident with a profound sense that the USSR was not all that different from us afterall, and that perhaps our entire approach to the Cold War, Communism, was fundamentally flawed.
Speeches given by JFK, in particular, show that he was beginning to question the inherent superiority of Capitalism, and was beginning to see all people as brothers.
I think this type of thinking in leadership in the US is punishable by death. There are simply too many powerful interests that rely on adversarial thinking.
That is my personal theory, piecing it together in my head.

the mob. bobby kennedy was coming down hard on them. kennedy was the front runner in the 1968 presidential election and if elected would have had a lot of power to put a large dent in their operations.

Sirhan Sirhan.
Palestinian. I dont remember why though.
Oh he was just the scapegoat there are some fascinating websites on the whole thing.
He was probably killed by the CIA because they needed Nixon to be President in order to escalate the Vietnam war.

Research it,,,,,,it was inside government assassination, and if it werent true, then George Bush would not have brought it up about the conspiracy theorists in his presidential address to the nation. He knows it is true, and also so was the late great Martin Luther King assassinated for similar reasons.

Several questions are always about. He was a hardliner against Onasis having exclusive shipping lanes and made many threats to remove his status. Onasis was a billionaire and had many ties in the Middle east. As you can see the MOB and Fidel also get votes as did his BROTHER (WHOS Wife wound up married to Onasis!!!)
