I love her hit "it's my life" but could sombody please explain whet she means when she sings

"If I could buy my reasoning, I'ld pay to lose."


What does that mean?? I know it's kinda wierd question but everytime i hear that song it bugs me.

news flash: "it's my life" is NOT her song. it was originally written and recorded by Talk Talk and released in 1984. and to answer this question:
basically the situation is lose-lose for the narrator.

She doesn't value her judgments or reasoning and thus wishes to "lose" it if she could. Perhaps she regrets certain decisions she has made.

it means she doesnt want to be reasonable, and even if she could buy reason, she'd rather buy carefree, the i'd pay to lose means she doenst want to be reasonable, its her life, and she'll do what she wants

i think that she is saying that she never gets the breaks and always makes the wrong decisions.
