I don't get how they can pride themselves on freedom os speech when it is illgeal to say to holocaust didn't exist or to say it was a good thing. I mean, if someone doesn't believe that the mass killings of Jews happened, oh well. Who does that harm?

It is only in Geramny and Austria where there is a law attracting a prison sentence against denying the mass murder on Jews and other ethnic minorities.
I'm against this myself, but on the other hand I can't see why anyone could feel overly hampered by not being able to state a historical untruth. It is also illegal in most European countries to publish "incitement to hatred", which would made at least half the questions and two thirds of the answers on this site in the cathegory "immigration" illegal.
But we in Europe do have access to a really free press, public television where every party has an input, and a lot more different news sources, like Al Jazeera, than US Americans.

Your point is not totally valid, most countries in Western Europe do not have laws against Holocaust Denial. Germany and Austria do as do Belgium, The Czech Republic, France, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Switzerland.

However, anyone who believes the Holocaust didn't happen is deluding themselves.

It isn't illegal but it isn't politically correct either. Going against political correctness can get you into trouble however, so I would have to agree with you to a point.

It's not illegal, check your facts, it's just inherently ignorant.
