i'm very fair, so what i found out before going to a warm place and fear of being burned is to go tanning in a tanning bed, atleast 2 weeks before, every other day adding a couple of minutes more each day, really helps.

I have fair skin and I honestly wouldnt try tanning in a bed or in the sun (to avoid skin damage or skin cancer) no matter what skin type! You could get a mystic tan spray or purchase tan in a bottle, or use a bronzer powder to define and give you that sunkissed glow! I hope one day the "tan" fad will fade away because I think fair skin can be a beautiful thing!

I have fair skin also. My body gets really tan in the summer and my face stays super white! So I have a self tanner that i use sometimes on my face (not too often cause sometimes it gives me little zits). But if you use it every other day or so it works. Nuetragena build-a-tan. You can get it at the drug store and its only aout $10. If you go for a different self tanner I suggest a lotion. THey are easier to spread on and wont streak like a spray or foam self tanner will. good luck. P.S having fair skin will pay off in the future if your not in the sun often. Use lots of lotion and later in life you will have smooth skin with less sun damage and sun spots compaired to women who bake in the sun and even tanning booths.

Trying to tan with fair skin can lead to skin-cancer. There are new cool sprays available at tanning salons that last a few weeks- don't stain or look fake.Use sun screens to take care of your skin and that also helps early aging and wrinkles from too much sun exposure.

My mother is light skinned like that (I don't call it "fair" because that denotes that only light skin is beautiful, and ALL skin tones are gorgeous!) She doesn't tan either unless she burns first, and chooses instead to not try. Instead, she takes pride in her natural appearance--light skinned with natural platinum blonde hair. You're light, just be proud of it!
In my case, I'm more olive skinned and have naturally chestnut hair( my father was full Native American.) No problems tanning, and I don't burn, but we SCAR easily! It isn't that great being olive if you scar from small scratches.

I am sorry to say, but you are physically unable to get a nice tan. Don't worry, fair skin is beautiful too. Having a tan is not everything, many men love fair skin on their honeys.

attempt airbrush tanning, someone truly sprays your body w/ self-tanner to substantiate there are not any spots or over-coloring. in case you're too shy for that, attempt mystic tan, u stand in a sales area even as a good mist shoots out at you. colour takes a lengthy time period to advance & you cant bathe for a minimum of four hrs after. call your close by tanning places to be sure in the experience that they offer both decision
