I dunno, St. Anger wasn't tooooo bad, but it wasn't HEAPS good. I don't know if I like Trujillo to be quite honest, he just seems a little out of place. I think they should have a MASSIVE world tour, and play every great song they've had. Tour for a couple years, make it the best metal tour EVER, then call it quits. They've done enough awesome stuff to keep me happy, I don't think I need to see them belt out some new tunes in there tracky dacks and ugg boots

At this point honestly, after putting this next album out, no matter who good it is or how well it sells, their next step should be putting together a 2 CD retrospective for all their fans with a couple of new cuts and take a leave of absence from the music industry for a while, as a music reviewer myself for a local paper, St Anger was terrible, and the doco Some Kind Of Monster was better! Not a good ratio, but having producer Rick Rubin aboard for the new album can't hurt them!

They need to release a new album/cd.
I've rocked to them for years (when I lived in El Paso, they would make that an annual stop so they could go over into Mexico) and have seen them in concert numberous times. They are great musicians and, no matter how many people criticize them for "selling out", they still rock.
I know they have suffered some losses, personally and professionally, but nothing can be as bad as what Def Leopard went through (their drummer lost both arms and kept playing with them till his death).
Oh, and don't hink I'm just a headbanger, I just got the new RBD cd (Rebels) and Paulina Rubio. I just love good music.

I would love nothing more than to hear that they put out a good album like they did back in the day of Master and Ride the Lightening. But since they've turned into p ussies since the "pink" album, they need to retire.

They need to retire because I was going to say release a new album but get back to their original style, but then I started to think that they are getting too old to play that style anymore. Even now when they play their old music live, James can't screach them hard notes anymore, and the whole band has to play slower than the original recording, because their age prevents them from keeping such a gruelling pace.
Yeah, just retire and let great young musicians cover their greatest songs.

I'd like for them to release a new album but go back to what they do best (like their earlier releases). St. Anger was the worst piece of crap I've ever heard and I'm a die hard Metallica fan.
