Have 3 days off work for Valentines......any ideas?? Small budget?

We're married with a 3 year old....live in Yorkshire. Would like to go to Disneyland Paris but it's working out about £400 which I would rather spend on a "proper" holiday....rather than 2 days with Mickey Mouse and chums!

You don't say where you are starting off from so can't tell you where is good to go near you. Assuming you are in England then either Oxford or Brighton are good for weekends away. If you have a slightly larger budget then perhaps going on the Eurostar to Paris - very romantic. Go to www.lastminute.com for flights for long weekends at good prices with hotels included. Good places to make your money go further are Prague or anywhere in Poland.

depends on how small. can you afford a weekend in a hotel with hubby? if you can just look up local hotels.

if not then just stick with the old romantic meal at restaurant. maybe go pics or bowling or something.

all depends where you live aswel, what is there to do in your area? or why not get a train to a smashing place where you've always wanted to visit and spend the day there looking round at the attractions- if you could afford a b&b that'll mean you can spend two days there

Plan things that are inexpensive. You didn't say whether it was for just you or you and a partner? Well if it's for a partner then try things like going for a picnic, or getting up early and watching the sun rise. Costs sod all and it is SO romantic. If you're by yourself, then you don't really need to do anything do you? Just chill out, watch your favourite movies, go to the pub... Just relax.
