Sometimes I think we're already there.

I see two ways to interpret this (1) how people and nations get along with each other (2) ecologically. Since most respondents have dealt with the first, I will tackle the second.

We are using up natural resources in a wasteful way. Farmland is being turned into housing developments. Petroleum is being squandered to fuel behemoth SUVs. Pretty places are being uglified by surrounding them with hotels, fast food joints, and carnival rides. CO2 and other chemicals in the atmosphere are causing uncontrolled climate change. New gadgets appear on the market rapidly, leading people to abandon the old ones that work perfectly well -- and the new ones require more and more exotic chemicals to be produced and introduced into the environment.

The good news is that there are (probably) hundreds of millions of other earth-like planets in the universe, and eventually we will work out transport schemes that make it possible/practical to reach them. And at least some of them will be unoccupied so we can land and colonize without displacing any "little green men". When we do get there, we need to be smarter about planet management so we don't despoil the new homeplace like we're doing here.

The earth itself is pre destined and fore ordained to be Exalted above all the creations of God.
the only part of society that will be destroyed are the unbelievers and the truly unrepentant and those that are called sons of perdition.
Most christians will go to hell, but they have knowledge that if they are in Hell they can still call upon Gods name and be delivered. In the first year of the GREAT and TERRIBLE day of the lord many of these christians will be resurrected because they call upon the name of jesus christ.
But the first fruits were already risen from their graves when jesus was first resurrected. maybe this type of resurrection has already happened and now we are waiting for Pt2 to happen. and then during the mellenium all people will be resurrected.
So the saying is true that God has cleansed all things, and only the sons of perdition are lost.
All sins are forgiven except ONE!

in my studies, I know all these verses exist about the resurrection. Although my memory has faded to where the exact verses are located, i still retain some memories, and despite my ability to think clearly sometimes either due to stroke, senility, or alzheimers, I try my very best to open minded to speak the truth.

I think time will eventually "correct" its self. I think we run in cycles. Think of the 'wild west' days. People shooting and killing each other, lots of outlaws. Some people kept to themselves and didn't get into trouble-as do some people now. Then compare it to the 1950's. Really tamed, family oriented, morals oriented.

I think we will eventually come back to our senses. There is only so much sex, debauchery and violence a society can take. We as a people have to stand up and say "hey, I want the world to be better and I'm going to start making it better by making MYSELF better.

I'm also curious as to why we always seem to want to start by 'fixing' the other guy or blaming him. I think it's just an easy cop out to not look at the negative within ourselves.

Wow, so much pessimism. I guess I'm still pretty pessimistic about the future of our world yet there are still pockets of humanity and goodness. Some people taped jokes and wacky laws in the bathrooms that made many people smile. Another person dropped their books and someone stooped down to help pick them up. Goodness still exists. There are still positive stories in the media yet a lot of negative ones. I guess it's up to us to stop the transformation into hell.

its called progress. hell is a religious concept. change is good. its what got us to survive as long as we have. look at history, we are probably in a less violent state that in previous centuries. more people are causing the natural resources to erode more quickly, but I don't think that is hell.

Yup, you know they're blaming "global warming" on people. I think they're right, the Democrats are taking us to hell in a handbasket and it's getting warmer by the day.

Our planet is overpopulated, starving, at war, at peace, polluted, beautiful, ugly, starving, obese, in the early stages of global warming, and so much more.

Welcome to humanity. :D
