I like Bulger because he and I are both Mountaineers, but the Rams haven't really gone anywhere since he's become the starter, so I'd have a hard time voting for him.

I might have to say Steve McNair. The Titans were perennial playoff contenders, and made it to the Super Bowl, when he was there and the Ravens very well could get to the Super Bowl this year with him...and they sucked without him. He's a solid player, tough, and a good team leader.

Marc Bulger is a very good answer, since a big part of being underrated include not much media mention (you could be B+, but not get ANY mention and you'd be underrated) ----*cough* Donnie Edwards --seriously..one of the best MLBs..

anyway, Phillip Rivers -- people need to get off the hate-train.

Bulger, Pennington and Huard come to mind. Even Hasselbeck from seattle...but not tom brady, if anything he is overrated b/c his defense helped him win superbowls....oh yeah, he had a clutch kicker to seal the deal for his "legacy"

The most underrated QB is Trent Edwards of Stanford University. He gets no publicity, and he will probably get drafted in the 1st round. He was hurt this year, or else he would be up with Russell and Quinn. The most overrated is Daunte Culpepper of MIA.

I have though for years that Matt Hasselback is the most underrated QB in the league. Very solid but plays in Seattle.

Apparently Jeff Garcia....how often do you see the 2nd string QB take a struggling team to the brink of the championships?

There are many that are and are not , but my opinion is it is Drew Brees, he took a team in chaos and may lead them to the Superbowl.
