At the end of the French and Indian War, the main thing Britain faced was a MASSIVE debt due to the war. This war debt led to the various taxes (Sugar Act, Stamp Act, Tea Act, etc.) that Britain placed upon the colonies in order to raise the money needed to pay off their debt. The fact that Britain taxed the colonies without allowing any colonial representation in Parliament is what angered the colonists and eventually led to the American Revolution. I hope I've been helpful.
