U.C. Davis, they have excelent agricultural, and biology programs
Humbolt State University, O.K. but not as top notch as UCD
mainly UCD because it is in the richest agricultural region in the world being California, but mainly Sac valley.(mediterainian climate). making it ideal for a very diverse plant and animal population to call it home, thus providing a great place to study.
(ecology,biology,ZOOLOGY, etc.)

As an undergraduate: time-honored biology, botany, zoology, body structure, genetics, inorganic chemistry, organic and organic chemistry, physics, calculus. yet a bachelor's degree received't make you a zoologist. you somewhat favor a Ph.D.
