John Ritter as Paul Hennessy (2002-2003): A former sports writer, who now works from home as a "Lifestyle columnist". Described as being "the master of the double standard",a "Psycho-Dad" as well a hypocrite who often embarrasses his children. John Ritter died into the second season of the show. He had a heart attack. On the show they had him going to the grocery store for milk and he had a heart attack in the store and died.

John Ritter died very suddenly and unexpectedly after suffering from aortic dissection, an unrecognized and undetected flaw in his heart. He was 54. It was very sad. I remember him from Three's Company and some of us grew up watching that show.
