is there anybody who knows how i can make sure that sb is online but invisible?

If you happen to be in the same Group, if you go to the member's listing, it will show their smiley face as yellow if online.

Alternatively, if you happen to have some mail from this person, if you open up the mail, it will show their face grey or yellow there depending on whether they are online or not.
