Write to him (recorded delivery) saying something like; 'You have recently made an allegation about me, you are hereby informed that I reject the allegation in its entirety. Your persistence in this matter wil be construed as harassement and an appropriate response will be instigated'. Keep a copy, and send a copy to your insurance company to keep them informed, they may help you. If this doesn't stop it, take all the correspondence to a solicitor, and let them fight it for you.
Good luck.

Tricky one. First off, where were you during the accident? Was anyone with you? Did anyone at all see you? Plus it depends what kind of accident. If it was a car accident then it's more than likely that you will be on CCTV somewhere which could be very helpful to your case. Ultimately though, you need to get a solicitor of your own and perhaps make enquiries with the police.

Write back and say that you were not there and are you the same person.
If not you may have to prove you were else where at the time.
This can be done by a number of ways -
CCTV
Receipts
Witnesses
landline telephone conversations
Computer / Internet records

Hi Will,
If they insist it was you just yell haebeus corpus. Or in other words produce the evidence. If you have an alibi for your whereabouts at the time of the incident it is end of problem.

If they have written to you write back explaining that you know nothing about the incident whatsoever. Probably a case of mistaken identity.
