I have this problem with my satellite, you just have to wait for the wind to die down.

The problem with the picture is usually caused by the elements of the antenna that have become loose and dirty ,(The elements are the rods that stick out from the Aeriel )This causes a difference in signal strength during windy conditions. Hence the picture shakes or is unstable..
The solution is to take the Aeriel down then dismantle all the elements and clean them. . Satellite antennas shake in the wind, also causing an unstable picture. If your connected by cable ,Then i guess the cable companys sat and link antenna are not stabilised and fully secured against high winds.

yes, and ive also noticed that the wind affests the cell phone signal as well. If you have cable or satellite, call the company and complain. The least they can do it credit you a few days because you cant watch the tv.

Whenever it's windy here, we notice those wonderful wavy lines on the TV screen.

Yep, it's fairly common - the wind does affect analogue television waves, and more stuff like trees, leaves etc are bowing around setting them offcourse.
