What do you get a man for Valentine's Day? I have no clue what to get my bf. We have been together for a year now and I'm leaning towards cologne.

You would be suprised at how much men like gifts from their woman. Especially ones that specific to them.

Ever notice how, when a guy gets you a gift; it's something that is 'useful'? Like my husband just bought me a camera for Christmas. He would never buy me something else that I didn't need- I.E. shoes or jewerly.

Men give what they would like, and generally, vs.vs.
Meaning, get your guy something that he might want to buy for himself. Something that is useful, with a purpose.

If he wears mens fragrance, or is considering purchasing some then that might be a good idea. If his wallet is looking kinda scruffy, you could replace that. Maybe have it monogramed to make it more personal. That always goes over well.

Guys are less interested in things that are purely sentimental. They prefer function, and even then, suprisingly, that becomes something with semential attatchment to it.
You want to apeal to his taste, but that does not mean a tool kit from Sears. There is always a middle road between the two tastes form (women's) and function (men's).

Just find something he can use everyday, to remind him of you. A wallet is an everyday item that he would 'use' and be reminded of you. Those are the best gifts.

Cologne...it's sooo...common and predictable.

Get something that represents HIM, or you and him.

Par example: My man likes antiques and he is also a retired Navy officer. On eBay, I came across a WWII era Navy sweetheart locket, which is a locket shaped like a heart with the USN anchor symbol on front that sailors during WWII gave to thier wives and girlfriends before they went overseas. In one side I put my picture and in the other I put in writing a lyric from a song "My love is an anchor tied to you"
You wanna see a grown man, a military officer at that, bawl like a baby.....whew... It hit home and it was very special. A valentine neither of us is likely to forget.

Cologne's a lovely city. Probably a bit expensive to fly him out there just for one night though. Get him an 'experience' instead of a 'thing' - like concert/sports tickets. That way you get to go with him too!

That's always a good thing. Especially if you get one that you like and say that it turns you on when he wears it. He'll love it forever then. At least that's how my bf was when I did that.
