The Guy at the garage where my 1995 Ford F150 XLT is at says my truck needs two parts.... an Ignition coil and a part called a Pick up that I guess is located inside the distributor.(Truck would not start up completely while it was raining out). He says it will cost me $400.00 for the parts and to have it done,.... does this sound like a right price?

Don't trust us to have the correct answer. Just call the local Ford dealer and ask them. They should be able to give you a ballpark answer. $4oo does seem a tad high.

i own a repair shop, and this is really high for that job,id ask around at some other places,,i think it can be done a lot cheaper than this, there kind of over charging you a little on this one i could do it for 300 real easy,i know this because i do this for a living 6 days a week, but if your stuck in a situation as to where you have t pay this,,you may not have no other choice,we all get in those positions once in a while,,but id let them know about it anyway,,good luck ,,i hope this help,s.

$400 seems kinda steep. The parts are under $100 and I can't see that job taking 4 hours to do.

Get on the phone and do some calling around. Get a few estimates and get your truck to someone else if the quotes come up lower. They should.

the coil should cost around 82-85 $ the pick up less than 20$, so 400 sounds too expensive to me.

Report them to the better business bureau in your area. The parts are fairly cheap and the job of replacing these parts will take only about a half hour, or so, to do.
