First agreeing to the word of God, the Bible, understanding God's word for marriage, being in the same attitude, belief of God's word, defining what this relationship is based on. Honest and open sharing and confronting the issues as they come along, working together as a team, most of all, making Christ the center of the marriage. Doing positive things together, like weekly dating, accepting your the good, bad, and ugly of your spouse, seeing beyond the flesh, and seeing what God has given you, as a perfect sould mate. Keeping communication open.

Faith, commitment and respect for one another. Following God's word and seeking out His plan for your lives. Praying together brings you closer together and keeps you that way. It is a beautiful thing.

watch what u allow into the marriage, be it other people who aren't christian, TV program that show evil things, don't listen to people who aren't in god's will, don't ask advice of them. got to watch what and who we let into our lives. cause if it isn't in the will of god, it can influence us, especially if we are easily tempted.

trust in God and desire to grow in God together and the belief that it is God that maintains hour relationship and that you have to ask for His guidance EVERYDAY for the two of you to cling so close together. each of you must be close to God so that your relationhip will be close to God too. its like a triangle, the apex is God and the two corners are you and your husband, if you are far from God then you will be far from your partner vice versa, it must be equi-triangle.
