For about 2 hours last night I slept on my left arm wrong and woke up with my fingers pressed rather hard between my knees and my arm bent and wedged underneath me. It wasn't numb, but for the next 30 minutes I had cold fingers and my arm had the general sensation of having poor circulation. It's been about 10 hours now and my arm still feels like I have no circulation - cold fingers, achy in places and an overall heavy feeling. Is this normal for me to still be feeling something like this 10 hours later?

Yeah...I think 10 hours is an over-extended time for this...call your doctor and tell him waht happened. You obviously cut off circulation to the part, but over the ay it should have returned.

All I can tell you is that I have this weird habit of sleeping with my left arm in a contracted position--giving me the same effects you describe.

We all have certain positions we prefer to sleep in. I have tried to modify this but once out-of-it (deep sleeping) I can't controls this. Invariably, I wind up in this same position.

Good luck in trying to correct this.

It's normal. And annoying.
