Some guy in December put one (expensive, valued ~$7000) in a Salvation Army pot with a note that said:

"She said no. I hope you have better luck with it then I did. Merry Christmas".

I almost cried when I saw that news story. They said they would hold it for 60 days if the guy changed his mind and then sell it.

Most guys either return them, or save them for the day when they might give it to another girl.

Thankfully I didn't have to endure a no. I would have returned the ring for sure - I needed the money.

Return the ring to the jeweler, don't keep it for the "next time" that wouldn't seem right. A friend of mine got the "ex's ring but demanded that the setting be placed in another ring so that wasn't so bad, another suggestion, put an ad in the classifieds if the jeweler won't take it.
Good luck!!

I chucked mine in the Seine. A €9000 Cartier ring. For a while I seriously regretted it as I was skint but I'm now totally minted and have a girlfriend who beats my ex hands down in every department so la vie est belle at the end of the day!

He can get a hoop it really is not from Sierra Leone you recognize? He can ask the broking the position the diamond is from they're going to understand because of how they ought to order the rings. You watch to a lot Kanye and Jay-Z.

I don't believe I'd ever be "stuck" with anything...(a ring or a wife)....I'd simply take the ring back to the Jeweler and return it, or sell it to reinvest, or buy a little something for me. No worries.

Sell it on Ebay. Don't keep it for the next girl. I wouldn't want the engagement ring that was originially intended for someone else.

Save it for the next one. If you're turned down then it's time to move on anyway.
