Mona Lisa is rather famous for her smile.
There are so many stories and theories about the smile which makes it popular.
Also the painting is by leonardo da vinci...and some argue that mona lisa is the feminine portrait of the painter himself.

mayb bcuz its a really famous painting thats also a really good painting but if u look at it too long you get really creeped out!
