I had my iud taken out on the 1/12 which was the first day of my last period, my other half and i are trying to concieve. This makes my period about 10 days late. i did a hpt 3 days ago which was negative, however my breasts are swollen and tender and i dont have any of the usual signs that my period is coming.

When you change something that effects you hormonally it may take a while to regulate. Swollen tender breast could mean your period is coming too. Sit tight a few days and do another test if your period doesn't come. Good luck!

first off is it DEC.1 or Jan.12? I'm assuming it was DEC. if it was the mirena IUD, than it can postpone you AF. it has a hormone it.now that your body doesn't have the hormone in it, it may take some time to re-regulate your period. the doctors prefer if you were off hormones for at least 3 months before TTC. I was told that after iud removal that your body goes back that same day to the way that it was before you had the iud inserted. So maybe your periods aren't like they used to be. Or maybe your pregnant.
