It id definitely the television, generally all media. There is a constant barrage of imagery and threats. You have the terror scale that never seems to dip below elevated risk.
American is a nation sitting on the edge of their seats just waiting for a catastrophic event.

Without TV showing live pictures over and over ad nauseum, the the terrorists would be held to the rank they deserve.
If you doubt this think of the Oklahoma bombing and how different the effect would have been if they had run live pictures of the building blowing up as often as the WTC, and then launched a War on all the people who Agreed with and supported Tim McVeigh, as much as Saddam supported the WTC attack.
Had we done so the terrorists, who are now supporting Bush would have attacked more, and are likely to anyway unless we turn this country into their kind of totalitarian state. At the moment Bush is doing their agenda.

Probably the TV, there haven't been any terrorist attacks in America since 2001. But on TV they threaten you all the time. Terrorism is simply creating terror as a means to control. Threats of terror are a lenient form of terrorism. Sometimes they go too far, but I think we need to be mindful that terrorists will try something again.

You have a great point. Did you ever watch the weather channel? Their reporters in the field always made a rain shower look like a catastrophe. I'm sure the same zeal applies to news reporters.

We have not had a terrorist attack on American soil in years, so that does not count.
I prefer the Democrats. Every time the terrorists get on tv spewing their propaganda, they sound a lot like Democrats.
