I would have to Owls. An Owl could read the print on a dime from 1000 yards. That is of course if Owls could read! It's all in the way their eye's are designed to absorb light.

Almut Kelber of Lund University in Sweden has shown that the Elephant hawkmoth can see in color just by dim starlight: thats 10,000 times better than us.
